Answer by jorel555(1290)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let d=dimes, n=nickles,q=quarters:
n=d+3
q=d-7
5n+10d+25q=1840
5(d+3)+10d+25(d-7)=1840
5d+15+10d+25d-175=1840
40d=2000
d=50
Molly has 50 dimes, 53 nickels, and 43 quarters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
