Question 1031877: John and his family are planning a trip to Vancouver , British Columbia. They are choosing between three options. Trip A last for 5 days. Trip B lasts for 7 days. Trip C costs $2850 for 9days. Trip C is twice the cost of Trip B, minus $1750. Trip B is twice the cost of Trip A, minus $200. How much does Trip A cost?
Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A = cost of trip A
B = cost of trip B
C = cost of trip C = 2850

C = 2B - 1750
2850 = 2B - 1750
2B = 4600
B = 2300

B = 2A - 200
2300 = 2A - 200
2A = 2500
A = 1250

Trip A costs $1250.
