Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
q+d= 6 subtract q from both sides:
q= 6-d
0.25q+0.10d= 1.35
0.25(6-d)+0.10d= 1.35
1.50-0.25d+0.10d= 1.35
-0.15d= -0.15
d= -0.15/-0.15
d= 1 He got 1 dime and
6-1= 5 quarters back
-----------------------------------------
Check:
5*0.25= 1.25
1*0.10= 0.10
______-------
Total: 1.35 We have the correct answer
