Let the age of father be x and the age of son be y.
x+y=50-----------(1)
x+5=3(y+5)=3y+15
x+5=3y+15=>x-3y=10-----(2)
solving (1)& (2)
from (1) x=50-y,substituting in(2)
50-y-3y=10
3y+y=50-10
4y=40=>y=40/4=10
y=10yrs
x=50-10=40=>x=40yrs
Therefore the age of father is 40years & age of son is 10 years.
