Hi there,
Taylor is 29 years younger than Vanessa.
T = V - 29
V = T + 29
4 years ago, Vanessa's age was 2 times Taylor's age.
V - 4 = 2(T - 4)
Replace V with T + 29 from top equation
T + 29 - 4 = 2(T - 4)
T + 25 = 2T - 8
Collect like terms:
T = 33
Taylor is 33 years old
Vanessa is 62 years old.
