Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
numbers are x and y, y is larger.
x+y=91
(y/x)=(14) +1 Be careful here. The quotient is not 14 +1, it is 14 and there is one added to it.
multiply second by x
y=(14x) +1
substitute
x+ 14x + 1 = 91
15 x=90
x=6
y=85
85/6 = 14, remainder is 1
numbers are 6 and 85.
