M = 2C

20 years ago, Michael was 6 times as old as Christopher.
M-20 = 6(C-20)

System of equations

M = 2C
M-20 = 6(C-20)

2C-20 = 6(C-20)

2C-20 = 6C-120
  -4C = -100
    C = 25

Christopher is 25

Michael is 2 times as old as Christopher.
Michael is 50.
