simon age is 6 + alex age
sister is alex age - 8
simon age + sister age is 37

sm = al + 6
si = al - 8
sm + alex + si = 3 al -2 = 37
al = 39/3 = 13 years old
sm = 19 years old
I am assuming combined means 3 of them.

Let Simon's age be S
Then Alex' is: S - 6, and Simon's sister's is: S - 6 - 8, or S - 14
We then get: S + S - 6 + S - 14 = 37
3S - 20 = 37
3S = 57
