REPLACE (X+Y) WITH 2Z IN THE FIRST EQUATION
2Z+Z=39
3Z=39
Z=39/3
Z=13 ANS.
X+Y+13=39
X+Y=39-13
X+Y=26
Y+13=2X+3
Y-2X=3-13
Y-2X=-10
Y=2X-10
REPLACE Y WITH 2X-10 & SOLVE FOR X
X+(2X-10)=26
3X=26+10
3X=36
X=36/3
X=12 ANS.
