x = Kim's age
x + 30 = Kim's father's age {Kim's father is 30 years older than Kim}
x + 55 = Kim's grandfather's age {Kim's grandfather is 25 years older than Kim's father}

Kim was born in 2002, so she is currently 12 if she has already had her birthday in 2014}

x = 12 {Kim's age}
x + 55 = Kim's grandfather's age
= 12 + 55 {substituted 12, in for x, into x + 55}
= 67 {added}

Kim's grandfather is 67
