In 5 years Mary will be twice as old as Cathy. Find their ages now. Is it 11 and 27 or 21 and 37??? Both suruons seem correct. I got 11 and 27 before I asked for help but now I'm worried it's wrong?

Mary 27(current age)+ 5(years later)=32
Cathy 11(current age)+ 5(years later)=16
16*2=32 (twice as old)(age of Mary 5 years later)

I gave you the CORRECT answer as: 

Cathy's current age: 11 

Mary's current age:  27

I also told you to do the check!! Did you? If you did the check, you would've seen that 21 and 37 could not possibly

be correct, since , or . Did you not notice this when you did the check, or did you just not do the check?
