Question 912373: Here is my word problem . Please try to solve it if you can. : Rita, Sandra, and Nisha used 1965 sequins to design some dresses. Sandra used 320 fewer sequins than Rita but 260 more than Nisha. How many sequins did Rita use?
Please help me. I tried dividing 1965 with 3 so I got 655. Then I subtracted 320 from 655 then I added 260 to it and got 595, that's for Sandra. Then I added 320 to 595 and got 915 for Rita. And the rest is for Nisha. I am not so sure about my answer. Can you please show your solution? Thank you a lot for taking the time to help me. Thank you so much.

Rita, Sandra, and Nisha used 1965 sequins to design some dresses.
let Sandra use x sequins
Sandra used 320 fewer sequins than Rita
Rita uses x+320
but 260 more than Nisha.
Nisha uses x-260
x-260 + x+ x+320 = 1965
3x+60=1965
3x= 1905
/3
x= 635
Sandra = 635
Nisha 635-260= 375
Rita 635+320 = 955

How many sequins did Rita use?
