Question 911645: I'm getting dressed in the dark, and I have 5 pairs of white socks and 5 pairs of black socks, but they're all mixed up in my sock drawer. How many socks will I need to blindly pull out of ensure that I get two pairs of white socks?
How do I solve this problem? I know the answer is 14, but how do I get that number?

What good will it do you to pull out all those socks? You won't know which selection is the pair of white socks anyways.
