It is impossible with a whole number of years. 

Proof:

If Victor is 25, then Fred is 29. 

But:

25×29=725, 725 is smaller than 770.

If Victor is 26, then Fred is 30. 

But:

26×30=780, 780 is larger than 770.

Was there a typo?  

Was the product supposed to be 780?
