L + 2 = 2(T+2)
L + 2 = 2T + 4

Find their ages.
Substitute (T+6) for L in the above equation:
(T+6) + 2 = 2T + 4
T + 8 = 2T + 4
8 - 4 = 2T - T
4 = T

T's age is 4, that makes L's age: 4 + 6 = 10
