and my granddaughter is as many months as I am in years.
My granddaughter, my daughter and I together are 100 years.

let m = my age
let d = daughter's age
let g = granddaughter's age
:

Use a 364 day year to keep things neat
364g = 52d
d = g
d = 7g
"and my granddaughter is as many months as I am in years."
12g = m
" My granddaughter, my daughter and I together are 100 years."
m + d + g = 100
replace m with 12g, replace d with 7g
12g + 7g + g = 100
20g = 100
g = 100/20
g = 5 yrs is granddaughter's age
then
d = 7(5) = 35 yrs is daughter's age
and
m = 12(5) = 60 yr is my age
