let the age of younger person be x and the age of older is = 7 + 4time of younger
ie., 7+ 4x
Sum of their age = 27
x+ 4x + 7 =27
5x = 20
x = 4
older one's age = 4x+7 => 4*4+7 => 23
therefore their ages are 23 and 4.
