The sum of the ages of Ariel, Orlan and Gerald is 27. Three years from now Orlan will be 4 times as old as Ariel. If Gerald was twice as old as Ariel 3 years ago, how old are they ?

Equations:
a + o + g = 27
o+3 = 4(a+3)
g-3 = 2(a-3)
------------------
Rearrange:
a + o + g = 27
4a -o + 0 = -9
2a +0 - g = 3

I used my TI-84 Matrix function to get:
ariel = 3 yrs
orlan = 21 yrs
gerald = 3 yrs
