Question 773654: If the perimeter of a rectangular closet is 16 feet and the length is 2
feet longer than the width, what are the dimensions of the
rectangle?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = x
Length = x + 2
Perimeter = 2*width + 2*length
16 = 2x + 2(x + 2)
16 = 2x + 2x + 4
4x = 16 - 4
4x = 12
x = 3
Width = 3 feet
Length = 5 feet
Hope this helps.
