Then the total age of the boys = 33*x
Total age of the class including the teacher = 33*x + 47 (since the teacher is 47 years old)
No. of people in the class including the teacher = 34
Average age of the class (including the teacher) is given to be 14.
So we have
Cross multiplying and solving for x,

Average age of the boys = 13 years.
