Ratio of age of x and y is 5:6 after 5 years it will 3:2.find the present??
-----------
x/y = 5/6 --> x = 5y/6
(x+5)/(y+5) = 3/2 --> 3y+15 = 2x+10
---------
3y+15 = 2x+10
sub for x
3y + 15 = 2(5y/6) + 10
9y + 45 = 5y + 30
4y = -15
y = -3.75
x = -3.125
===================
The problem is that x was younger, then 5 years later x was older.
