Question 747461: the length of a room is 1.5cm more than its breath.if the perimeter of the room is 63cm .find the lenth and breath of the room

Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A perimeter = 2 lengths + 2 breadths
If the length is 1.5 more than the
breadth, then make length = (x + 1.5)
This perimeter = 2 (x) + 2(x + 1.5)
= 2x + 2x + 3
= 4x + 3
4x + 3 = 63
4x = 60
x = 15
So breadth = 15 and length = 16.5
