f = 3s-2
f+12 = 2(s+12)-12

Substitute for "f" and solve for "s":
3s-2+12 = 2s+24-12
s+10 = 12
s = 2 yrs old (son's age now)

f = 3s-2 = 3*2-2 = 4 yrs old (father's age now)
