Ans:
take 7 years back,
Son=X
Dad= 5X
Now,The age of the son = X+7
The age of the dad = 5X+7
As, sum of the ages of a father and his son is 56 years
(X+7)+(5X+7)=56
6X+14=56
6X = 42
X=7
Dad age, 7*5=35 i.e., 7years back.
So the age of the father now is 35+7= 42 years
