a father is ten times his daughter AGe now.
f = 10d
in 5 years time he will be 5 times as old as his daughter.
f + 5 = 5(d+5)
f + 5 = 5d + 25
f = 5d + 25 - 5
f = 5d + 20
:
How old are each of them now?
replace f with 10d
10d = 5d + 20
10d - 5d = 20
5d = 20
d = 20/5
d = 4 yrs old is the daughter now
I'll let you find Dad's age
