Question 721118: Dad is 4 times as old as his son Jim. In 10 years, Dad's age will be 20 years more than twice Jim's age. How old is Jim?
All that I know is that it has to be one of the following answers.
1. D = 4J and D + 10 = 2J + 20
2. D = 4J and D + 10 = 2(4J + 10) + 20
3. D = 4J and D + 10 = 2(J + 10) + 20

In 10 years, Dad's age
D+10
will be 20 years more
=20+
than twice Jim's age.
2(J+10)
Those are the parts. Put them together.
