n = m+2

m = 2L
divide both sides by 2
L = .5m

If the ages of the three total 27 years,
n + m + L = 27
Replace n and L
(m+2) + m + .5m = 27
2.5m = 27 - 2
2.5m = 25
m = 25/2.5
m = 10
