Hi,

mark's father if 7 times as old as mark's age .

one year ago, he was 2 years more than 11 times as old as mark. 

Question states***  one year ago...

  7x-1 + 2 = 11(x-1) 

      12 = 4x

       x = 3, mark's age.  His father is  21
