Together they are 25 years old. 

How old is Steven and how old is Sarah?

      2x =  12

       x = 6, sarah's age and Steven is 19

  x  +  (x +13) = 28

         2x = 15

          x = 15/2, Sarah 7 1/2 yrs old and Steven 20 1/2 years old
