Hi,

Jose is 27 years older than his son age    

10 years from now, he will be twice as old as his son. 

How old is each now?

Question states***  10yrs from now...

 father

 (x + 27) + 10 = 2(x + 10)

       x + 37 = 2x + 20,  

                x = 17, son's age.  Father is 44.  (17+27)

and..

CHECKING our Answer***10yrs from now...

   54 = 2*27
