P = 2L
(P+5) + (L+5) = 37
----
Substitute for "P" and solve for "L"
(2L + 5) + L + 5 = 37
3L = 27
L = 9 (Lashauna's age now)

Solve for "P":
P = 2L
P = 2*9
P = 18 (Pete's age now)
