Question 543123: 10) The average of 10 numbers is 10. What will be the new average if each of the first five numbers is increased by 4.
Answer by jpg7n16(66) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the average of 10 numbers is 10, then the sum of those numbers is 100.
So if you increase the 1st 5 numbers by 4 each (each means multiply), you increase that by 20
So add that to the previous sum, and divide by the same 10 numbers.
