Let shyam's age be x
then ram's age=x+2
sum of their ages=36yrs
then
x+x+2=36
2x+2=36
2x=36-2
2x=34
x=34/2
x=17
then x+2=17+2=19
so ram's age=17yrs
Shyam's age=19yrs
Hope this helps!
