On what date will my son be or was my son exactly half my age?
I am a teacher myself (language) and it has been a really long time since I have done math! I swear, things like finding out the percentage I can do but this one has stumped me.

My son just turned 30 and was born on March 18, 1981.
On what date will my son be or was my son exactly half my age?
:
On the son's 30th birthday, man will be 60 + 232 days old (Jul29 to Mar18)
:
Let x = no. of days for man to be twice as old as son, (after Mar 18)
60 + (x+232) = 2(30 + x)
60 + (x+232) = 60 + 2x
Subtract 60 from both sides
x + 232 = 2x
232 = 2x - x
x = 232 days after son's birthday, he will half as old as Dad
:
Find the date 232 days after son's birthday, that's Nov 8th , man will be twice as old as son.
:
That will be 232 + 232 days = 464 days from Man's 60th birthday
In 464 days he will be 1 yr + 99 days older
:
Check using the their ages as decimals
Man's age on Nov 8: 61 = 61.27133
Son's age on Nov 8: 30= 30.63562
