Let x and y represent Ann's and Bill's ages NOW respectively
x+ 2 = 2(y+2) OR x = 2y+ 2 (see below: Ann is 18)
x -3 = 3(y-3)
(2y+2)-3 = 3(y -3)
2y-1 = 3y -9
8 = y Bill's age NOW is 8.
