Question 405444: father was 8 more than 6 times his son's age. 10 years ago the sum of their age is 44. how old his son now?
Answer by robertb(5830) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
father = 6s + 8
son = s
(s-10) + (6s + 8 - 10) = 44
s-10 + 6s - 2 = 44
7s -12 = 44
7s =56
s = 8 years old, the age of the son.
