Hi,
Let x represent the width. Then length is (x-3)
Perimeter of a rectangle is 2*l + 2*w
2(x-3) + 2x = 114cm
Solve
2x - 6 + 2x = 114cm
4x = 120cm
x = 30cm is the width of the rectangle
checking our answer
2*27cm + 2*30cm = 114cm
