This is a multiple choice question, and I have tried to solve to get the answer, but it didn't appear on the sheet. Here is what I did:
(6+x) + (11+x) = 41
17 + 2x = 41
2x = 24
x = 12 ? Is this correct?

you have forgotten Sue's age
x+x+6+x+11 =41
3x+17=41
3x=24
x= 8 sue's age
