I need you to explain how you get the answer and what the answer is i know the answer but i do not know how to get it please explain.

"Is" is equals, so you have 

B =

fifteen years older than Ray. 

So now you take Ray's age and add 15 onto it, and you have

B = R + 15

That's the first equation.

If twenty-four

We write: 

24

times

Now we have

24*

Bob's age 

Now we have 

24*B

plus 

Now we have

24*B +

eighteen times Ray's age 

Now we have 

24*B + 18*R

equals 

Now we have 

24*B + 18*B =

twenty-seven times Bob's age. 

Now we have 

24*B + 18*R = 27*B

You can take out those *s

24B + 18R = 27B

So you have the system:
