b=g+14
b+g=22
(g+14)+g=24
2g=24-14
2g=10
g=10/2
g=5 ans.
b=5+14=19 ans.
Proof:
5+19=24
24=24

There are 22 students taking the late bus home. There are 14 more girls than boys on the bus. How many girls and how many boys are taking the late bus home.

Let the amount of boys on the bus be B

Since there are 14 more girls than boys, then there are (B + 14) girls

Since there are 22 students on the bus, then we'll have:

B + B + 14 = 22

2B + 14 = 22
2B = 8

B =

Therefore, there are B, or boys on the bus and (4 + 14) girls.
