let m,r and l be the ages of marlin,reese and lee respectively
:
m=r+2.....eq 1
m=l.......eq 2
l=12......eq 3
:
since l=12 and l=m then m=12...so plug that value into eq 1
:
12=r+2.....subtract 2 from both sides to isolate the variable r
:
years of age
