Let's call the width of the rectangle w. Then we can denote the length of the rectangle by w+5 since the length is 5 inches more than its width. Remembering that the perimeter equation is 2*length + 2*width, we get that
So
Combining like terms and subtracting 10 yields
Dividing both sides by 4, we get
So the width of the rectangle is 14 inches. Using the knowledge we have about the length, that means the length is 19 inches.

W is width L=W+5 Perimeter =66
:
66=2W+2(W+5)
:
66=2W+2W+10
:
4W=56
