Question 16202: For the school play,Christi sold 5 tickets less than 3 times as many as Puge sold. Ace sold twice as many as Christi.Togrther the three students sold 65 tickets.How many did each one sell?
This is what I got:
Puge=x
Christi=3x-5
Ace=2(3x-5)=65
x+3x-5+2(3x-5)=65
x+3x-5+6x-10=65
10x=65
10x/10=80/10
x=8
