Going back 5 years ago,

x-cross%285%29%2Bx%2Bcross%285%29-5=25
2x=25%2B5 ; 2x=30
x=15 --------> Lani's age
x=15%2B5=20 ----> Regie's age

It make sense, 5 years ago Lani's age, 15-5=10+years + Regie's age,20-5=15 --------> 10+15=25 years
