You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Sara is 1/6 as old as Donald.
Donald=d
Sarah=(1/6)d
In 6 years, Sarah's age will be 11 years more than 1/5 of Donald's age.
Sarah+6=(1/5)(Donald+6+11)
or
(1/6)d+6=(1/5)(d+6+11)
Multiply both sides by 5.
(5/6)d+30=(d+6+11)
Subtract 30 from both sides.
(5/6)d=d-13
Subtract d from both sides.
-(1/6)d=-13
Eliminate the negatives.
(1/6)d=13
*Therefore Sarah=13.

Multiply both sides by 6.
d=78
*Therefore Donald=78

Check: (1/6)d+6=(1/5)(d+6+11) = (13+6)=(1/5)(95) or 19=95/5. It's true!
Sarah=13
Donald=78
