A MAN IS FOUR TIMES AS OLD AS HIS SON NOW. SIX YEARS AGO, HE WAS 7 TIMES AS OLD AS HIS SON DURING THAT TIME. FIND THEIR PRESENT AGES. THANK YOU VERY MUCH...
-----------------
NOW DATA:
Let his son's age be "x" ; Father's age is "4x"
-------------------
6 yrs. ago DATA:
Son is "x-6" ; Father is "4x-6"
----------------------
EQUATION:
4x-6 = 7(x-6)
4x-6 = 7x-42
3x = 36
x = 12 yrs old (son's age NOW)
4x= 48 yrs old (father's age NOW)
