Read attentively:


    In 4 years, Wendy will be three times as old as Clyde and the sum of their ages will be 64 + 4 + 4 = 72 years.


    So, let in 4 years, Clyde's age will be x;  then Wendy's age will be 3x, and

        x + 3x = 72

          4x   = 72

           x   = 72/4 = 18.


    Thus in 4 years Clyde's age will be 18 years, while Wendy's age will be 3*18 = 54 years.


    Hence, now Clyde is 18-4 = 14 years old;  Wendy is 54-4 = 50 years old.    ANSWER
