If H is x years old, then, according to the condition, M is (x+20) years old. In 10 years (x+20) + 10 = 2*(x + 10). Simplify and find x x + 30 = 2x + 20 30 - 20 = 2x - x 10 = x ANSWER. H is 10 years old. M is 10+20 = 30 years old. CHECK. In 10 years, H will be 20 years old; M will be 40 years old. In 10 years, M will be twice the age of H. ! Correct !
