Clyve is half the age of his sister Cissy. Five years ago, Clyve was one third of the age of
his sister Cissy. How old is he? How old is Cissy?5
Let Clyve's age be C

Then Cissy's is: 2C

We then get: 2C - 5 = 3(C - 5)

2C - 5 = 3C - 15

2C - 3C = - 15 + 5

- C = - 10
