Here is one quick path to the solution....

The sum of their current ages is 65.
25 years ago, that sum was 65-50 = 15.
At that time, Tina was half as old as her husband; that means their ages then were 5 and 10.
So now Tina's age is 5+25 = 30.

This gives us: 65 - T - 25 = 2(T - 25)
